GoFan Gives Back to North Fulton Community Charities

Written by GoFan | Mar 15, 2022 4:00:00 AM

The GoFan team recently volunteered with North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) to help support local families in need. Founded in 1983, NFCC's programs have grown to meet the challenges of residents needing short-term assistance and provide opportunities for the whole community to thrive.

Several of our employees devoted their time to assisting in the Food Pantry and Thrift Shop to sort donations and supplies. We also organized a food drive and donated over 2,000 items to help provide the first line of defense for people facing hardship or financial instability.

Each year, NFCC serves nearly 10,000 individuals with emergency needs in the cities of Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park, and Roswell. With the Food Pantry, NFCC distributes donated food, toiletries, paper goods, and cleaning products to struggling families. The Thrift Shop sells donated clothing, household goods, and furniture at bargain prices. With these services, along with educational resources, financial assistance, and other outreach programs, NFCC helps people overcome obstacles with dignity and compassion.

“I wanted to take a moment to thank the whole GoFan team that came out to not only volunteer with us but also to bring a very generous food donation. Mel, our Food Pantry Director, and I had just been talking about the fact that we had no food drives coming in any time soon, so the timing was great. And we so appreciate your hard work in both the Food Pantry and the Thrift Shop.”

- Jessica Heidish, Volunteer Services Manager at North Fulton Community Charities

The GoFan team is looking forward to future opportunities to donate our time and resources to NFCC and support its mission to help ease hardship and foster financial stability in our community. To learn more about NFCC and how to give back, visit nfcchelp.org.
