Florence City Schools: Elevating Events with Digital Ticketing

Florence City Schools: Elevating Events with Digital Ticketing

Florence City Schools Athletic Director, Byron Graham, was tired of handling cash and burdening his bookkeeper with potential reporting inaccuracies. He needed a solution to enhance the gate experience and streamline financial reporting.

That’s when Graham found GoFan, and he shared his experience switching to digital ticketing.

“Just trying to make life easier on my bookkeeper,” Graham said. “We don’t have to worry about cash boxes and things of that nature on Friday nights. I can do everything digitally. I’m able to see how many tickets we sold. It was just fast.”

Graham also debunked a common misconception about elderly people not being open to using digital ticketing, stating that older Florence City fans have been receptive and successful with GoFan.

Along with ease of use for staff and fans, Graham affirms that he’s had a great experience with the GoFan Customer Success team.

“The tech support team has been unbelievable, I’ve been very impressed... when you’re an AD and you’ve got all those other things going on, I’ve liked the hands-on service they’ve been able to give me the entire time.”

Now that Graham doesn’t need to sell traditional tickets or reconcile events with cash, he has more time to focus on the more rewarding aspects of his job as an AD.

When asked about his favorite moment as an athletic director, Graham said, “Seeing a kid reach the ultimate pinnacle of signing a scholarship. That's when you know that they have come through your program, coaches have done the right things, teachers have done the right things, parents have done the right things, and the pinnacle is they get to sign a scholarship... to me that’s the ultimate reward.”
