Ponte Vedra High School: Enriching the Fan Experience

Seeing students excel is Michael Harrison’s favorite part of his role as the Athletic Director at Ponte Vedra High School in Florida. Even when games run late, he makes a point to be there.  

“A couple of years ago, our state championship lacrosse game didn’t start until 11:30 at night because of weather. It was crazy,” Harrison said. “I was there at 1:30, the game finished. People were like, ‘Why are you here?’ and I’m like, ‘This is what I do. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.’” 

For fans to cherish that moment, a lot of behind-the-scenes tasks needed to take place. With GoFan and the NFHS Network, fans get an elevated game-day experience, no matter where they are.

 “We have a pretty wide parent base and network of people that watch it online, so we’re giving them that option to be able to view,” Harrison said.

“We’ve been pretty good the last couple of years,” Harrison said. “As the teams travel soccer, lacrosse, basketball, people have been able to follow us, and it just makes it easy.”
