Douglas County High School: Unmatched Access with the NFHS Network

When asked to describe her favorite moment in her career as an Athletic Director, Diane Shuck-Gray emphasized sentimental memories with senior students and times of accomplishment.  

“The moments that stick most with me are either when kids finish their senior year, and they recognize their moment is done, but also the times that I’ve celebrated with a team when they’ve won a championship,” Shuck-Gray said. “Those moments you’ll never get to replace or replicate.” 

Shuck-Gray wanted to find a way to broadcast these moments for Douglas County fans nationwide. She shared how the NFHS Network delivers live and on-demand coverage of Douglas County athletics to people throughout the United States and overseas. 

“I came from a school that had a lot of families that were deployed,” Shuck-Gray said. “That opportunity to be able to see wherever you are across the world is really second to none.”  

The Douglas County community is grateful for the opportunity to watch broadcasts when they can’t attend events in person. Many grandparents and extended family members of Douglas County students especially appreciate the access to watch these events from afar. 

“I can’t tell you the amount of grandmas, grandpas, and family members out of state that are very thankful for that opportunity to watch,” Shuck-Gray said.
