Caesar Rodney High School: Creating Memorable Experiences

Bob Beron, Athletic Director at Caesar Rodney High School, wanted to get ahead of the game with streaming athletic events. He soon discovered the NFHS Network and his program became the first in Delaware to broadcast their sports.

“I always thought of our school as being a cutting-edge school,” Beron said. “Back in 2016, I was at the conference in Nashville and I saw one of those NFHS cameras… and I’m like, our school needs to have that. No other school in Delaware had them.”

The NFHS Network team installed five AI-powered Pixellot cameras at Caesar Rodney High School that automatically track the action of gameplay. The community enjoys being able to watch their favorite student-athletes play live and on-demand if they can’t attend events in person.

“Fans love it,” Beron said. “Grandparents can watch it anytime they want. I don’t have any issues with people ever complaining about it not working… and if something was wrong, I could put a ticket in and within that time it’s fixed.”

Beron appreciates the technical support that the NFHS Network offers and speaks highly of the Customer Success team and how responsive they are by phone, email, and platform communication.

“My reps are great… I don’t have any issues or concerns. Everything works,” said Beron. “We have five cameras on campus, so it’s great.”

Supporting his students and seeing them succeed is ultimately what motivates Beron as an Athletic Director.

“Any benefit that I can provide for them to have the best experience possible while participating, being involved in high school,” Beron said. “It’s all about the kids and anything that I can do to make sure they have the best experience.”

Beron takes pride in supporting his student-athletes as they perform in the sports they love, and he is grateful that they have streaming opportunities.

“When I was in high school, there was no streaming,” Beron said. “So now these kids can go back using the NFHS [Network] and find that video, from that game, in that state semifinal, and relive their memories.”
